"'Cruisin' to the Tree" Begins April 14

Spring is here, which means it's time for "'Cruisin' to the Tree", the weekly car show, D.A.R.E. benefit, and extrvaganza of food, collectibles, and fun sponsored by the East Coast Street Machine Association. Bring the whole family on Wednesday nights from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. starting April 14!

The "'Cruisin' to the Tree" Cruise Night has been a major fundraising event for the Danvers D.A.R.E. program for some time. With its humble beginnings at Costco in its first few years, who would have imagined how this event has grown to become a tradition?

Organized by Tom Angers in 1989 and held since the early 1990s at the Liberty Tree Mall, the event has helped Danvers maintain its D.A.R.E. program, which has been subjected to state funding cutbacks. The business community has been very supportive, as have the people who frequent the show.

Geared towards automotive enthusiasts of many stripes (rods, customs, muscle cars, antiques), the Cruisin Night is a family affair. Come shop, have a hot dog, check out the cars, the music, the vendors, mingle, talk shop, and be a part of the Wednesday night tradition that is "'Cruisin' to the Tree!"

Deputy's Dogs serves up burgers, dogs, fries, cold drinks, and those awesome corn dogs!

Cars and collectibles for both kids and connoisseurs.

Musical Memories by Fran is heard playing a soundtrack of rock and doo-wop.
